The Roaring Library
The theme for the Tom Burnett Memorial Library 2026 Library Anthology has been announced!
As my friends and various other folks I haven’t run off yet can attest, I’m a strong supporter of this ongoing project. I’ve had stories in 3 of the 4 volumes so far, and will be submitting to this one too.
Jim and Amie were the first editors to take a chance on my mad musings, and I will NEVER forget that.
This is one case where I’m quite happy to skip the Get Paid part of the program since the proceeds are going to support a small town library, and particularly the children’s programs.
That’s not ‘exposure’, that’s a (darned) good cause. Anyway, if the first books are free, then I’m helping to establish a love of reading that will last a lifetime ; )
==========
We’re doing another library anthology this year!!!
The Roaring Library
Theme: 1920’s Texas – the Roaring Twenties
Length: 5000-8000 words long
Send us your stories! They need to be set in the 1920s in Texas, not
necessarily in a library, although that’s a strong element to include.
The anthology supports the Tom Burnett Memorial Library and the
children’s program there, and all proceeds go to the library.
Submissions are due no later than September 7, 2026
Please send submissions to oldnfo (at) gmail (dot) com
Target publication date is November 13, 2026
And for your information so you know who the team is-
Editors: J.L. Curtis and Amie Schultz
Copy-Editor: Laura Begley
Design (cover and formatting): Cedar Sanderson
Thanks in advance, folks!
